3. Codornices Park & Giant Slide (Berkeley)

Tucked across from the Berkeley Rose Garden, this old-school park features a giant concrete slide (bring cardboard!) plus trails, a creek, and redwood hideouts. Relive your Gen X- or Milennial cardboard sliding childhood and take a moment to practice some mindful breathing because this giant slide will make you understand in your bones why your mom was always telling you that you were bound to break your neck.

4. Golden Gate Park Windmills + Ocean Beach
