Little Things June Edition

5 Things Making Our Homeschool Days Happier This Month

These are some small things that have been bringing us smiles this month.

1. The Best Pencils We’ve Ever Used

We’ve tried a lot of pencils. These Ticonderoga #2 pre-sharpened pencils actually hold up through math marathons and don’t leave eraser smudges everywhere. Teacher-approved for a reason. These guys are pre-sharpened and ready to use right out of the box.

2. Dry-Erase Sleeves That Make Printables Reusable

These Magtech Wipe-Clean sleeves are sturdy, magnetic, and made in the USA. Just slide in a worksheet, map, or to-do list and you’re ready to roll. When you’re finished with them, just wipe them off and reuse all week long. These are worksheet workhorses you’ll be glad to have.

3. The Audiobook We Have on Yearly Repeat: Hoot by Carl Hiaasen

This one pulled all of us in — even the adults. So much so that we revisit it each summer for the past few years. Hoot on Audible is funny, weird, thoughtful, and perfect for car rides or rest time.

🕯 4. A Candle That Says “Calm Down Time”

This Amber + Lavender + Bergamot candle smells gorgeous, is non-toxic, and supports anti-trafficking efforts. It’s our go-to cue for quiet work time or cozy evenings. Good for morning work tea time and late-night mama bath time.

5. Watercolors That Are Pure Joy to Use

This Artistro watercolor set is vibrant, compact, and perfect for quick creative breaks — whether you’re a tween, teen, or mom. I’m not good at watercolor (yet?) but I enjoy the feel of these paints, and maybe you will too.
